Matt Hopkins, one of the network administrator for OnlineNW, speaking to Heather Kirk, Director of Hospitality for Brooks Wines, about the logistics of a custom solution.

Sometimes life throws curveballs at you. Sometimes it’s a remodel or sometimes a solar eclipse. When these situations come up, it’s important to know what resources are available. It’s why we, at OnlineNW, are committed to working together with our clients to create custom connectivity solutions.

We were approached by Brooks Wines to help provide a custom solution for their solar eclipse event. Brooks hired a media team to capture and Facebook Live stream the event. In order to Livestream, they needed a more robust WiFi coverage solution in order to have connectivity in strategic outdoor areas away from the winery.

After listening to their needs, Matt, one of our network administrators, determined that the best course of action was to connect their OnlineNW Fiber Internet to three additional WiFi access points at the winery that provide wifi to the surrounding outdoor area. One of these access points was dedicated solely to the media team,  ensuring they had a high level of security as well as a strong and consistent connection required for continuous live streaming. The other two access points helped provide WiFi to the hundreds of guests who camped out at the Winery.

Sometimes the answer to challenging situations is a simple answer. Sometimes, they are a little more in depth. Whatever your needs may be, we at OnlineNW are here to help make sure you remain connected to the world.
